Right to Vote

I am writing to you as one of your constituents asking if you will support Right to Vote’s call for a pause in the Brexit process and for the people to have a final say.

I am writing to you as one of your constituents asking if you will support Right to Vote’s call for a pause in the Brexit process and for the people to have a final say.

I am concerned about the consequences of the Brexit deal, even if it is actually possible for it to pass. We all need to take time out and consider our next steps, as we would for any other major decision in our lives.

We’re now experiencing what Brexit really means: jobs lost, orders missed, offices and factories moved abroad. I believe we should catch a breath and take a minute to consider whether this proposed deal, or however it is adjusted, is really in our best interests.

After two years of gridlock, it now feels like we are rushing into a deal at the last minute to avoid a devastating No Deal but which won’t serve us well in the longer-term. We should all be given the time to fully understand the implications of this deal, as we would with any other major decision in our lives. We should not settle for a poor deal just because time is running out.

I believe the only sensible and respectful route is for the people to have a final say.

I do hope you agree with me and other constituents and support this pragmatic course of action.
